AMCO Support Babyloss Awareness Week 2020

Amco took part in The Celtic Club Society Golf Tournament and supported Baby Loss Awarenessmonth by raising an impressive £3,000 for The Lily Mae Foundation.

Championed by Amco’s directors, Don Mucci and Seán Trainor, the Golf Society of 36 dedicatedSociety players have raised over £40,000 since the society formed in 2010. Every year members andfriends chose a time and a place to spend a long weekend away to play golf and use the opportunityto raise funds for charities that are close to their hearts.

Amco regularly take part in The Lily Mae Foundation’s Annual Golf Day and wanted to support the charity further by nominating the charity as their charity of the year 2020.

Seán Trainor commented, “We are delighted to be able to raise much needed funds for The Lily MaeFoundation to continue their excellent work, it’s a local charity that supports families in their time ofneed and delivers vital support for families at such a tragic time, this is certainly a charity that isclose to the hearts of many.”

To have the support of organisations such as Amco is fantastic and it has been great to build such a great relationship with them. To receive such a generous donation in these unprecedented times is hugely valued and appreciated and will help us to continue our work with those parents and families following the devastating loss of a baby."

The Lily Mae Foundation is a Midlands Charity that offer support to parents and families who havelost a baby through stillbirth, neonatal death, miscarriage or medical termination. Funds that havebeen raised help the charity to provide memory boxes for bereaved parents and one to one bereavement support for parents, siblings and family members. Not only that, but they also use the funds to supportresearch into the prevention of stillbirth and neonatal death.
