On Sunday April 7th 2024 19 incredible fundraisers took part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon on behalf of the Lily Mae Foundation.
A huge well done to each and every person that took part in this incredible event to raise vital funds for bereaved parents in need of support following the devastating loss of a baby.
The day itself was fantastic to be a part of. Being able to cheer on and support our runners on the sideline was great! We had a mixture of staff with our very own Ryan Jackson and Matt Whitehouse taking part! Two of the Charity Trustees as well as bereaved parents pounded the streets of London in support of bereaved parents and their families. We also had a number of runners who have not suffered the loss of a baby keen to support us and fundraise for us!
Jo Rasmin one of our LLHM Runners and long term supporters managed to raise over a whopping £1,500.00! When asked about the event and her support she told us:
"I am over the moon to be able to have raised this amount for such a fabulous charity. The work that the Lily Mae Foundation do is fantastic, 27 years ago when I lost Hollie there just was not that support and it is so needed."
Our runners collectively managed to raise an incredible £14,097.00 for The Lily Mae Foundation! This amazing fundraising effort allows us to continue offering the much needed support for bereaved parents and families following the devastating loss of a baby, navigating their journey through grief.
A HUGE THANK YOU AND WELL DONE TO ALL 19 OF OUR FANTASTIC RUNNERS! WE HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU AGAIN NEXT YEAR🏃🤍
