On Tuesday 24th June, an inspiring group of 23 Year 9 students and 9 teachers from Arden Academy took on an incredible 100km cycling challenge, all in support of The Lily Mae Foundation.

This outstanding effort came after the Foundation was kindly nominated as the chosen charity by Freddie Jackson’s school friends. Freddie is Lily Mae’s brother, making this event particularly meaningful for those involved.
Setting off bright and early at 7:00am to beat the heat, the cyclists embarked on a demanding route starting near Balsall Common and riding all the way to Stratford-upon-Avon and surrounding areas and back to Arden Academy in Knowle. Despite the heat and long journey, the riders returned, completing their challenge at 6.30pm, cheered on by staff, friends, and family.
So far, these remarkable students have raised an absolutely incredible £5,654 a testament to their dedication, compassion, and the generosity of the local community.
We are so grateful to every single person involved: those staff who organised the ride, the students and teachers who took part, and the families and friends who offered support and donations.
This type of community support allows us to continue helping bereaved parents when they need it most. If you'd like to further celebrate and support the incredible students and their teachers for completing their amazing challenge yesterday, click here.
From all of us at The Lily Mae Foundation, thank you.
